Hello & Happy Weekend My Friends! Thanks for joining us for this Cancer Support & Survivor Blog Hop! If you've hopped along from Enjoli then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Erica from My Cricut Craftroom (I wouldn't want you to miss a THING!!)
The theme of this blog hop really hit home with me, especially in the past year, and even more the past few weeks. My grandfather was just diagnosed with Cancer of the Bile Ducts a week or so ago and then my Brother in Law has just hit 6 months CANCER FREE! (Thank you, God!!) He had a type of pancreatic cancer. Both of these very important men in my life were in my mind while creating!
I embossed my first card with The Winter Frolic CuttleBug Cricut Companion & also used the Preserves Cuttleug Cricut Companion. The Cricut Cartridge I used for my HOPE was Home Decor. I used a Freebie Digi Stamp I got from The Clipart Fairy. I colored her Cancer Support Ribbon Purple in honor of my brother in law, John, since he had pancreatic cancer and now has been 6 months CANCER FREE. This card is very simple and could be very easily replicated! I'm all about simple right now!
This second card I made, also very simple, is for my grandfather who has been diagnosed with Cancer of the Bile Ducts. It doesn't seem that he will have too too much time left on Earth with us, but will be going to a much greater place! Anyway, I embossed this piece of scrap paper I found from years ago with The Winter Frolic Cuttlebug Cricut Companion. I used the Calligraphy Collection Cricut Cartridge for my HOPE. Once again, I got this cute FREEBIE digi Stamp from The Clipart Fairy. I colored his ribbon Yellow for Bile Duct Cancer. This Another Extremely Simple Card! But with Grandpa moving up to Ohio from South Carolina Today, I NEED SIMPLE!
**NOTE: I apologize for the smudging on the digi, but I have two toddlers who weren't following mommy's directions and were playing by mommy's crafting area and well.....I'm sure you can see something went wrong. But, I still wanted to share my card with you and I guess it's good to know that we are all real people**
Thanks for Stopping By My Friends. It's now time to Hippity Hop Over to a very Talented Lady and My Buddy: AMANDA
Make Sure You Stop Back NEXT week for our Christmas in July Blog Hop!

ReplyDeleteI will be praying for your family as I know cancer affects the whole family, not just one. My mom just finished up her year of chemo. I have a lot of cancer awareness items I've made on my blog if you want to check it out: deasdoodles.blogspot.com (it's new so I would love for you to go take a peek!)
Great card,I am a follower of your blog,joydee1963 at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of your cards but am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Yay for the brother-in-law though! I lost my younger sister last year to breast cancer so this cause is near and dear to me too. This dreadful disease seems to impact every one of us in some way at some time in our lives. Let's just hope they find a more effective treatments and eventually a cure for every type of cancer.
