Crafty and Green's Talented Friends-Guest Designer Day

TALENTED FRIENDS OF CRAFTY AND GREEN GUEST DESIGNER DAY. Week #2

This Year, I'm starting something new! I'm going to be having a guest designer EVERY week! I decided to start 2012 out with a bang, celebrating with all my talented and crafty Friends. Each month I will have a Theme and a Sketch. The Guest Designers will follow the Theme and have the option to use the sketch or create something completely unique!

This Month the theme for my guest designers is Music Madness, and here is the Sketch!

I'm So Excited to Introduce my Second Talented Friend and Guest Designer of the Year: Amy Jo

Hi there!  This is Amy Jo from Scrapping, Card Making and Living with Fibro.  I am so excited that Tina has invited me here today to be a Guest Designer!  This is my very first Guest Design spot!
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m 32, married, with three dogs and I have fibromyalgia.  I had discovered my love of papercrafting about 12 years ago, but when my best friend (at the time) and I lost touch (after scrapping for only about a year), I kind of fell out of it for a while… a long while!  In fact, I just started back up a little over a year ago and decided to take it a step further by blogging.  My illness had taken over my life and I was left home with no job, nothing to do, and a body and mind full of pain.  I decided I had to do something so I decided to take a step and go into my local scrapbook store (LSS).  I ended up working there a little bit here and there (when I could) in trade for scrapping goods and the rest is history!

I have since quite the LSS, but have developed a passion for all things paper-crafty. ;0) I must say, shopping for supplies is almost as fun as creating for me!  Since I don’t really leave the house much (due to pain), I love to order online and it’s always a happy day here when a package comes in!  Luckily, my hubby never complains and is so supportive.  He just wants me to do whatever makes me happy and this certainly does (when I am able to).  The days that I am too sick to craft, I usually at least read some sort of crafting magazine and do some blog hops online to keep my spirits up.

For today’s project, I have used Tina’s sketch and theme (music) for January as my inspiration.  Since I don’t have children, I don’t do a ton of scrapbooking, unless I feel like working on some of our vacation pictures, so instead I do a lot of cards and sell them to my friends.  So of course, I chose to do a card.  I have a few pictures here for you all to see the details.  The details on how I made the card are below…

Front of Card - Inside is Blank (for now)

Closeup of Sentiment, Punched Edge, and Popped Flower with Note

Closeup of Bird Stamped on Chipboard and Crinkle Ribbon

Closeup of stamped background paper and popped flower

Thank you Amy Jo, I Love your Card!!! Music is one of my passions & I love the naturey feel to it!! Please Make Sure you Stop by her Blog & Check out the step by step instructions of how she made this card!!

  5. Thanks Ladies! And thanks so much Tina! Your sketch was awesome. I have only used one sketch ever (besides this one) so this was a real first for me in more ways than one! I really like the idea of working off of sketches and will definitely be doing more of this! Thanks for the inspiration and for opening your blog up to me! You are a gem!
