Feliz Dia De Los Muertos!
(Happy Day of the Dead)
Welcome to the Simply Betty Stamps Day of the Dead Blog Hop!
So happy you have joined us for this special event, be ready for some awesome creations!
The Day of the Dead (El Dia de Los Muertos) is a holiday
focusing on gatherings of friends and family to pray and remember those
who have died. It's celebrated on November 1st and 2nd in connection
with All Saints' and All Souls' Days. November 1st honors deceased
children and infants while November 2nd honors deceased adults.

It is believed that on these days, it's easier for the dead to communicate with the living. Thus we get Halloween (All Hallows' Eve) which is the eve before the thinning of the veil between the living and the dead.

How Awesome is this SBS image called Lenore Forevermore? I just LOVE her and had so much fun coloring her up with my copics & making her face into Dia De Los Muertos! I used scraps to make this card and found some awesome blue lace & ribbon that matched perfectly!
Please
note: Normally I do NOT know the names of
all the papers or the other materials I use
b/c they are either something I had from years
ago, or it's something that has been given to me.
Now it's Time to Hop on over and see what the amazingly talented IRENE has for your viewing pleasure!
