My Cricut Craft Room's Christmas in July Blog Hop & Festive Friday

Hello & Happy Friday Afternoon My Friends! Thanks for joining us for this Christmas in July Blog Hop! If you've hopped along from Erica then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Erica from My Cricut Craftroom (I wouldn't want you to miss a THING!!)

Today I have two posts in one--LUCKY YOU!! Since it's Friday and we Always have Festive Friday, I will add my creation in as well! So it'll be a  Festive Christmas Friday Blog Hop!

For the Christmas in July Blog Hop, I decided to do something new (for me), something other then just a card or layout. I had lots of fun doing this and I'm going to try another one here this weekend for a Birthday Present!

 Here's What I Did:

* I took a clipboard I found laying around the house; covered it with a layer of Mod Podge and applied the snow flake paper. Then I brushed on another layer of Mod Podge on top. (I used a Sponge brush to brush it on). Make sure you Gently Smooth it down with your hands to avoid Bubbling. (Card Stock will really bubble so don't use it as your base paper!)

* Next, I tore some already embossed white paper (I had from the past) and Put a Layer of Mod Podge on it.

* I used the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge to cut out my cutie Snow Man! He's Cut out at 4". Once I had him cut out, I dabbed a little Mod Podge on his back side, stuck him down, and then completely covered him in Mod Podge.

* The Final thing I did was find some ribbon & fibers I had from years ago. I cut them at 7" and then took three at a time and knotted them on the top of the clip. After I had all of the ribbon & fibers on, I trimmed them down to a better length.

FESTIVE FRIDAY:
Instead of doing another Christmas Project, I opted for a Halloween Layout instead!
The 3 Cartridges I used are Home Decor, Indie Art & Rock Princess.
I cut the Chandelier at 3.5"
I cute the two smaller spiders at 1.5" & the larger one at 2.5"
The Girl is cut at 4.5"
Last, but not least the Little Devil is cut at 1.75"

I found this Candle Paper at the Flea Market last weekend on clearance. I used Metal Mesh from Making Memories (Something I had from years ago that I wanted to use)
The Green Paper were scraps & the Purple Colored Paper on Chandelier & words is Core' Dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

My toddlers loved this layout with the spiders!

I really hope you have enjoyed my projects today! Now it's Time to Hippity Hop on over to the Lovely Laurie
